September 8, 2009 – Pinecrest Premier teams participated in various Labor Day soccer tournaments this past weekend, representing the club in outstanding fashion. The U15G White team coached by Akram Molaka, won the prestigious Clearwater SCI Nike Tournament in Sarasota during the Labor Day weekend beating out several teams from across Florida, including Tampa’s RSL, Dunedin, Braden River, Wellington and winning the final against West Pasco 3-0. A special thanks to the Cooper City girls for their participation.
On the other side of the state, Coach Josh Kirk led his U13B White team to the Seminole Labor Day Tournament Championship defeating Deltona by a score of 4-0. His U9B Blue team made the tournament finals bowing out to ACYS Spirit United by the narrowest of scores 4-3.
Coach Alex Abaroa’s highly rated U15G Blue team performed well at the Disney Showcase qualifiers. They made the showcase semi-finals, but eventually they fell by the narrowest of margins to a tough West Pines team by the score of 2-1. Congratulations are in order to all the teams participating in this past weekends tournaments.
